Alone

Dark red blood, hemorrhaging
Amidst womb pressure and pain
The unspoken word, six letters
Of power and trepidation
Stage Two, Stage Three
Lymph nodes free, oh…not.
Healing elixir, poison, entering the body
Five hours, three days, six times.
Hair fuzz, like newborn baby ducklings
Scarves, wigs, hats, bald.
Tears, anger, fear…
Tears, anger, fear…
Tears, anger, fear.
